Taiwanese producer Nan Ya Plastics has delayed the restart of its 100,000 tonne/year No 3 BPA line in Mailiao due to technical difficulties.The exact date of the restart has yet to be firmed up--might be next week. Nan Ya had earlier stopped production at the three BPA lines(a combined nameplate BPA capacity of 290,000 tonnes/year) on 8 September due to feedstock shortage, with the restart date originally set on 14 September. Now Its No 1 and No 2 lines have been restarted on schedule. Nan Ya's fourth BPA line with 120,000 tonne/year nameplate capacity at the same site was running at full capacity.
