Sinopec, DuPont to start up Beijing EVA plant in December

Sinopec and DuPont Packaging & Industrial Polymers will start up a 60,000 tonne/year ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) resins joint-venture plant in Beijing in December this year.
Construction of the plant started in 2007 and the commercial operation would begin almost a month after the start up.
Sinopec holds 55% stake in the plant while Dupont holds the remaining 45%.
The plant is located at the same site as Sinopec Beijing Yanshan Company.
