Mitsui runs IPA plant at 100% after unplanned shutdown]

Mitsui Chemicals is running its 33,000 tonne/year IPA plant in Osaka, Japan, at 100% after restarting the unit on 1 October. The smallest of Japan’s three IPA producers, however, planned to take the facility off line for one week starting 1 November. This would be the fifth time that Mitsui is shutting the plant this year due to poor economics and to reduce inventories.
