Taiwan’s CPC Corp has purchased naphtha for first half June delivery at steeper discounts of $5-6/tonne (€3.65-4.38/tonne. The 75,000 tonnes of full-range naphtha for delivery into Kaohsiung, south Taiwan over first half of June was purchased at a discount of $5-6/tonne to Japan quotes CFR (cost and freight) from a trader. The tender had closed on 6 May, and valid up to 8 May. In its previous tender, Taiwan’s CPC bought two other 75,000 tonnes full-range naphtha cargoes at a premium of $5.50/tonne to Japan quotes CFR Kaohsiung for delivery in second half May.
