India’s (ONGC) has sold a 35,000 tonne naphtha cargo from Hazira, Gujarat to Korea's SK Energy, industry sources said on Monday. The cargo of heavy naphtha for lifting over 12-13 September was sold at a premium of $25/tonne (€17.5/tonne) to Middle East quotes FOB (free on board) Hazira, sources said. ONGC had sold a similar cargo for lifting over end-August at much lower premiums of $15-16/tonne to Middle East quotes FOB Hazira. The recent hike in premiums was attributed to concerns that regional supply availability will be tight in September due to lesser arbitrage volumes from the west.
