China’s Liaoyang Petrochemical plans to restart its 600,000 tonne/year PTA plant by next week following a month-long shutdown. The firm's smaller 270,000 tonne/year PTA unit, which had also been shut along with the bigger line since mid-May for maintenance, would continue to be idle. "The bigger line is to be restarted soon, in the next few days, while the smaller line is still down," the source said.
