July US methanol imports up 9% year over year

US methanol imports in July for non-fuel usage or synthesis gas production rose by 9% compared with the same month a year ago, the US International Trade Commission (ITC) said on Thursday. July 2009 total imports stood at 465,895 tonnes, up by 38,460 tonnes from 2008 import rates at 427,435 tonnes.
