China’s Kingboard Group started construction of a 100,000 tonne/year caustic soda plant and a 50,000 tonne/year epichlorohydrin (ECH) plant in Hunan Hengyang Songmu Industrial Park on 20 August. The construction of the two plants, at a cost of yuan (CNY) 560m ($82m), was expected to be completed in December 2010.
