China’s Hebei Jinniu starts trial runs at caustic soda plant

China-based Hebei Jinniu Chemical Industry Co Ltd started trial runs at its 80,000 tonne/year caustic soda plant in Hebei province on 16 November. The company completed construction of the plant in mid-November this year after resuming work late last year following a 33-month hiatus due to financial problems. The plant has a capacity of 80,000 tonnes/year of caustic soda, 51,500 tonnes/year of liquid chlorine and 55,400 tonnes/year of hydrochloric acid.
