S Korea’s Hanwha Chemical to restart ECH plant on 1 October

South Korea’s second-largest ECH producer, Hanwha Chemical, plans to restart its 25,000 tonne/year plant at Yeosu on 1 October after an unscheduled maintenance shutdown. The plant was shut down on 1 September due to unspecified mechanical problems. Market players said the producer had stopped spot exports to China in September as a result of the shutdown.
